Svetoslav Raykov Peytchev was born on 24 October 1952 in the town of Rousse. He is known also and with his pen-name Simon Martin. For many
years he sailed on the ships of the Sea and River Naval Fleet. As a professional seamen and diver he has traveled across all oceans and seas. He has visited about 100 countries around the world. 
  Since 1980 he has turned his attention to literature. His first poems were published in his birthplace. He has been published in many newspapers and
magazines in Rousse, Razgrad, Shoumen, Varna, Bourgas, Nessebar, Sofia and abroad. 
  He has published the following books: You will forget - love  lyrics, Close Your Eyes, So I Can Lie to You - humour and satire - consists of epigrams,
rhymes and miniatures, Funny Stories - humour and satire, The Talking Dog - short stories and feuilletons, The Sinner - short novel, A Choice - lyrics, Green Eyes - novel, Easy Money - novel. 
  Because of the critical nature of many of his publications Mr. Peytchev had problems with censorship and the authorities. He was imprisoned in one of
the Death Camps of  Zhivkovs regime. 
     He has won many literary awards.
